You’ve got questions…we get it. Winter Bites is a brand new festival, so it’s only natural you want to know as much as possible before you arrive. We’ve compiled a handy Q&A below and we’ll continue to add to these over the coming months.

Q. Why are there three events?
A. Good question! Snowy Valleys Council received funding through the Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery (RTBR) Grants in 2020 for the development and delivery of three single-day events. The events are to take place in winter 2021 in Adelong, Batlow and Tumbarumba. These towns were selected as they were significantly impacted by the Dunn’s Road Bushfire.

Q. Will Winter Bites be held in future years?
A. Yes! It may look a little different to 2021, however, we’re already in planning mode and will keep you updated.

Q. Where can I stay if I need accommodation?
A. We would love you to stay in the Snowy Valleys Region during Winter Bites. You can check out a huge range of options here.

Q. Can I bring my pet to Winter Bites?
A. Due to our festival sites, pets won’t be permitted at any of the three Winter Bites events.

Q. Can I bring food and drink into the festival?
A. We’re going to have a mouth-watering line-up of local food and produce (not to mention beverages and other goodies) that you can purchase inside the festival grounds, so we kindly ask that you don’t bring outside refreshments in.

Q. Will I be able to get a bus to Winter Bites?
A. Yes! Buses will be running to and from each event from regional centres. Stay tuned for further updates.

Q. Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?
A. We understand that these are strange times and there are a lot of external factors that come into play when planning to attend a festival. Please keep checking in as we update information closer to the date about ticketing and refunds.
